Pornography

1.       “Are you mentally and spiritually clean?  Do you avoid viewing pornography or looking at websites, magazines, movies, or apps, including Tinder and snapchat photos, that would embarrass you if your parents, Church leaders, or the Savior Himself saw you?”  (Elder M. Russell Ballard “The Greatest Generation of Young Adults  Ensign,  May 2015 pp 67-70)

2.       “Those who seek out and use pornography forfeit the power of their priesthood.”  (Dallin H. Oaks  “Pornography”, Ensign May 2005 )

3.       “Patrons of pornography also lose the companionship of the spirit”  Pornography, Dallin H. Oaks  April 2005 Conference)

4.       “These binding chains of addiction can have many forms, like pornography…Satan, our common enemy, has many favorite tools he uses to rob us of our divine potential to accomplish our mission in the Lord’s kingdom.  (President Dieter F. Uchtdorf “Are You sleeping through the Restoration?” Ensign, May 2014 pp 58-62)

5.       “The compromise available at the click of a mouse…is no respecter of persons, male or female, young or old, married or single.  And just to make sure that temptation is ever more accessible, the adversary is ever more accessible, the adversary is busy extending his coverage, as they say in the industry, to cell phones, video games, and MP3 players.”  (Elder Jeffery R. Holland “Place No More for the Enemy of My Soul” Ensign, May 2010 pp 44-46)

6.       “These are just some of the reasons that prostituting the true meaning of love—either with imagination or another person—is so destructive.  It destroys that which is second only to our faith in God—namely, faith in those we love. It shakes the pillars of trust upon which present—or future—love is built, and it takes a long time to rebuild that trust when it is lost.   (Elder Jeffery R. Holland “Place No More for the Enemy of My Soul” Ensign, May 2010 pp 44-46)

7.       “Youth who have been exposed to immoral images at a very early age are terrified that they may have already disqualified themselves for missionary service and sacred covenants.  As a result, their faith can be severely impaired.  I want to assure you young people, as Alma taught, that through repentance you can qualify for all the blessing of heaven.”  (Elder Quention L. Cook “Can Ye Feel So Now?”  Ensign, November 2012 pp 6-9)

8.       “In our day the dreadful influence of pornography is like unto a plague sweeping across the world, infecting one here and one there, relentlessly trying to invade every home, most frequently through the husband and father.  The effect of this plague can be, unfortunately often is, spiritually fatal.”  (President Boyd K. Packer “Cleansing the Inner Vessel” Ensign, November 2010 pp 74-76)

9.       “Pornography will always repel the Spirit of Christ and will interrupt the communications between our Heavenly Father and His children and disrupt the tender relationship between husband and wife.” (President Boyd K. Packer “Cleansing the Inner Vessel” Ensign, November 2010 pp 74-76)

10.   “Satan has become a master at using the addictive power of pornography to limit individual capacity to be led by the Spirit.  The onslaught of pornography in al of its vicious, corroding, destructive forms has caused great grief, suffering, heartache, and destroyed marriages.  It is one of the most damning influences on earth.”  (Elder Richard G. Scott “To Acquire Spiritual Guidance” Ensign, November 2009 pp 6-9)
